2010 Medalists

Congratulations and sincere thanks to the 2,000 independent authors and publishers who participated in the 2010 Independent Publisher Book Awards. Entries into this year’s 14th annual “IPPY” Awards saw a dramatic increase in quality and diversity – and the writing and publishing exhibited great commitment and passion. Yes, independent authors and publishers are passionate about getting their messages out, and they are changing the world, one book at a time…

Medals were awarded on May 25th at a gala awards ceremony in New York. Thanks and congratulations to all participants for your truly great work!

10 OUTSTANDING BOOKS OF THE YEAR

These medalists were chosen from our regular entries for having "the courage and creativity necessary to take chances, break new ground, and bring about change, not only to the world of publishing, but to our society." These are the book projects our judges found the most heartfelt, unique, outspoken and experimental among all of the entries.
